analysis and application of geotechnical engineering problems

Professor Junjie Zheng is the vice-dean of the School of Civil Engineering & Mechanics in the Huazhong University of Science and Technology. And he is Distinguished Professor of the “Changjiang Scholars Award Program” of the Ministry of Education, selected candidate of the “New Century Excellent Talents Support Program” of the Ministry of Education, and the National Registered Civil Engineer (Geotechnics).

Dean Jingquan Wang

Southeast University, China

Research Area: application of composite structural bridges, bridge seismic 、 

new materials (UHPC, FRP) in bridge engineering

Professor Jingquan Wang is the Dean of the School of Civil Engineering at Southeast University, national registered structural engineer. Participated in one of the National Natural Science Foundation's key projects (the project leader), presided over one National Natural Science Fund Youth Project (completed), one national support project sub-project, and presided over the completion of the Ministry of Education Doctoral Fun. He has involved in more than 20 horizontal projects.

Vice-dean Yan Li

Jilin Jianzhu University, China

Research Area: Building safety diagnosis, concrete structure crack prevention and cure, 

new composite fiber material application, building energy saving new system research





Professor Yan Li is the vice-dean of the School of Civil Engineering, Jilin Jianzhu University. She is also the member of Building Structure Branch of Civil Engineering Society and a council member of the Mechanics Society in Jilin Province. As the main participant, Professor Yan Li has participated in one national natural science foundation of China, one national science and technology support project, and more than 10 provincial and ministerial scientific research projects.

Prof. Jan, Chyan-Deng

Cheng Kung University, Taiwan

Research Area: Hydraulics, Debris flow, Landslides, Sediment transport

Dr. Jan is a professor of Hydraulic and Ocean Engineering, and the director of the Ecological Soil & Water Conservation Research Center at the National Cheng Kung University (NCKU) in Taiwan. He received his Ph.D. degree from the University of California at Berkeley (UC Berkeley) in 1992. He has been teaching in NCKU for 27 years since 1992. He ever served as the department chairman, the director of the Disaster Prevention Research Center, and vice-president of general affairs in NCKU, and the president of the Taiwan Disaster Prevention Society. His researches are in the areas of coastal engineering, hydraulic engineering, soil & water conservation engineering, debris flow, and landslides. He has published more than 100 papers in peer-reviewed journals. He wrote one English book about open channel flow published in Springer (2014), 4 debris-flow-related books (2000~2017) and one sediment transport mechanics (2018) in Chinese. He ever awarded with a Third Merit Medal in 2012 by Taiwan government for his contribution in debris-flow hazard mitigation. He won the university’s Distinguished Teacher Award in 2002, and the Distinguished Alumni Award from the National Taiwan Ocean University in 2007. He has been the Fellow member of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) and the Fellow member of the Environmental Water Resources Institute (EWRI).

Vice-dean Bo Wang

Jilin Jianzhu University, China

Research Area: Health monitoring of the application structure of composite FRP in civil 

engineering

Professor Bo Wang is the vice-dean of the School of Civil Engineering, Jilin Jianzhu University. He is also the Secretary-General of the Architectural Structure Branch of Civil Engineering Society in Jilin Province and he received his D.E. degree from the School of Civil Engineering of Harbin Institute of Technology.

A.Prof.Chong Wen Tong

University of Malaya, Malaysia

Research Area: Renewable Energy, Green Technology, Wind Turbine Design



Dr. Chong Wen Tong graduated from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, UTM (Mechanical-Aeronautics). He was awarded the Best Student Award for his academic achievement; and obtained his Ph.D. from the same university. Dr. Chong WT joined the Department of Mechanical Engineering, UM (# 33, QS-Subjects-Ranking-2016/2017) after spending 10 years in various industries. (Dyson, LHH Precision Engineering, JK Digital Technology & Sony). Before joining UM, he was the Head of Technology and Mechanical Team in Dyson Malaysia, and has been responsible for research, design and development works on vacuum cleaner, hand dryer and bladeless fan. He led more than 30 engineers and technicians, and participated in several projects, award-winning products, patents and the creation of Dyson new technology. He is a Chartered Engineer registered by the Engineering Council (UK). He served as the Programme Coordinator (Mechanical) for about 5 years (2011-2015) and teaches Renewable Energy at the M.Eng. level in UM. He is the Head, UM Centre for Energy Sciences. He has secured more than RM 6 million research grants (HIR-MOHE, PRGS, ERGS, FRGS, UMRG, PJP, Global Partnership Award-University of Southampton and RCETS-NCKU, Taiwan), completed 18 research projects (renewable energy & green technology) as principal investigator and successfully supervised >35 post-graduate graduates. He has filed 12 intellectual property rights and won the First Prize of National Intellectual Property Award 2016 (Cross-Axis-Wind-Turbine, CAWT). He is the Editorial Board Member of two SCI-Q1 journal (10% top), i.e. the International Journal of Energy Research (IJER) and International Journal of Precision Engineering and Manufacturing-Green Technology (IJPEM-GT). He has co-authored >110 ISI technical articles (h-index = 27). He is also the recipient of the University of Malaya Excellence Award 2016, Excellent Lecturer (Science & Technology). He is the Conference Chair of International Conference on Sustainable Energy and Green Technology (SEGT 2018 & 2019). His invented CAWT is expected to push the limit of wind turbine design and enhance the energy output.  The CAWT has the high potential for offshore wind energy markets (€130 Billion Annual Market by 2020), and it contributes to the job opportunity, betterment of environment, installation & maintenance and workers’ safety.
